Pan's Labyrinth?
Hey, to those that have seen Pan's Labyrinth, could you explain to me the "R" Rating? Is it violence, language, something else?

My husband and I really like the visually beautiful movie trailers, but we want to know what the "R" rating is for before we consider seeing it. Don't worry about ruining the storyline for us if you need to explain something. We like to be cautious about what we watch. Thanks!

The "R" rating is for violence. There's a LOT of human-human violence. The movie takes place during a time where communist rebels were fighting back.

Lots of killing -- mostly by gun. No huge gore, but nothing is hidden. There's some torture and psychological stuff related to that too.

It's very good. It's also a hard movie to watch. So good you for being cautious!

Thanks! My husband doesn't mind violence too much, he just really dislikes profane language. We'll put it into some more consideration. :)

I don't remember a lot of profane language...

But it is in Spanish with English subtitles. :)
